Animal Name: Nathaniel aka Natie
IAR ID#: C-10-097
DOB: 2010-07-01 (10 weeks old)
Gender: Male
Animal Breed: Domestic Shorthair
Color and Coat/Fur Type: Nathaniel is a gorgeous classic boy tabby. He has one of those HUGE tomcat heads you don't see very often anymore! He is of stout build and has very soft fur with beautiful markings.
Animal Personality: Natie is a precious male cat with the classic loving sweet "orange tabby" personality. He is a gentle soul and loves to come cuddle by your side. Natie LOVES his chin scratches! He will follow you anywhere for a chin scratch! Natie is very calm and of a quiet disposition. He is NOT one of those needy hyperactive cats that you have to entertain all day! We love that he can be happy on his own if you are too busy, or he is thrilled to come sit by your side for movie time. Natie is good with the other foster cats in the house, and he would do well with another friendly cat in the house as long as they don't harass him. He likes it quiet and calm, so we recommend a home without kids or loud dogs. If you are looking for a loving companion kitty to keep you great company, please consider adopting precious Natie!!

Animal History: Natie has had a sad time. His elderly owner had a stroke. Then his owner's caregiver became concerned that poor Natie was sleeping too close to his owner's face, so the caregiver took Natie to a kill shelter. Personally, if one of us volunteers had a stroke, we would welcome a kitty to keep us company while we get better, but this person did not agree and thus Natie found himself homeless and in dire risk of euthanasia. This was all too sad for precious Natie who was completely disoriented and traumatized at the shelter. IAR heard about his situation and one of our foster parents decided she could not let Natie have this sad ending. She rescued him and he is now just waiting for a true forever home that will keep him safe and loved for the rest of his life.
