Animal Name: Nathaniel (aka Natie)
IAR ID#: C-10-097
DOB: 2003-07-01 (8 years old)
Gender: Male
Animal Breed: Domestic Shorthair
Color and Coat/Fur Type: Orange cat fans --and you know who you are!--, look no further than Nathaniel! This big, beautiful, pumpkin colored, sweet boy is the orange tabby of your dreams! Mr. Nathaniel is a gorgeous classic boy tabby. He has one of those HUGE tomcat heads you don't see that often anymore.
Animal Personality: Nathaniel is a calm natured orange boy, the type beloved by lots of us rescuers and veterinarians alike. His sweet, placid nature makes him a total joy to have around. Nathaniel and his foster sister, Petunia Belle, are great friends and have bonded to the point where they sleep intertwined with each other. We would love to see them both adopted together so they won't be separated. If you love orange kitties, so much the better, since both of them are beautiful pumpkin colored babies. Nathaniel is a clean kitty, with perfect litterbox habits and is a neat eater. He will defer to his foster sister Petunia at treat time because he is the perfect southern gentleman!! Nathaniel prefers a quieter environment without loud noises, kids or loud dogs (quieter dogs might be okay). If you are looking for an amazing pair of sweethearts, please consider Nathaniel and his sister, Petunia Belle!

Animal History: Nathaniel had a major shock when his elderly owner had a stroke and could no longer care for him. Sadly, the owner's new caregiver took Nathaniel to a kill shelter where he was in danger of euthanasia. He was in shock for a few days, the shelter workers tell us, and could not process his abandonment. Luckily, an IAR foster Mom could not resist this sweet boy and brought him into IAR foster care where he is now waiting for his forever home with a lucky adopter.
Special:
Did You Know: Napoleon Bonaparte suffered from ailurophobia, an extreme fear of cats. This brave emperor would tremble and sweat profusely if he thought there was a cat nearby.
