Animal Breed: Domestic Shorthair
Color and Coat/Fur Type: Corky is an endearing little tuxedo female. She has huge curly white whiskers above her eyes and on her nose.
Animal Personality: Corky is an active and curious young cat. She is a bit shy at first, mainly because she was born and lived outside for the first 6 months of her life. Since coming to live in her foster home, Corky has blossomed. She comes to meet me at the door when I come home from work and loves to sit on my lap and be petted and purr. Corky loves other cats and wrestles and plays with them every chance she gets. Corky will need a patient adopter to see the loving young cat that is hiding behind her cautious exterior.

Animal History: Corky was born and lived outside a local business on Roxboro Rd. She was being fed by kind-hearted employees, but the living situation was dangerous. The employees contacted IAR to see if we could give the cats a better life. Corky and her brother, Lucky, were rescued on St. Patrick's Day. Once their foster mother realized that they were friendly, but scared, she decided that, with patience, they would make loving additions to a special home. Corky is now ready to go to a forever home that will give her the time she needs to feel at home.
