All About Me

Jewell is a stunning Siamese mix kitten with a soft, fluffy white coat, gray-brown points and beautiful blue eyes.

Jewell is an adorable, cuddly kitty. Very much like all the elegant aristocrats of the Siamese world, she must know that she is gorgeous, as she seems to like posing for the camera! Jewell is still a bit shy around people, as she has only been around them for a short period of time, but she is quickly coming around.

After getting cuddled and brushed, she will lay across your chest while she purrs up a storm, makes biscuits and tries nursing on your arm. She is interacting with the humans and the foster kitties in the home and has bonded with her new foster sister and BFF, Sugar, C-13-249 (see more photos of Jewell and Sugar).

Jewell likes to play with dangling toys, wrestle and loll with her BFF, Sugar. She needs to get adopted with a gentle playmate like Sugar and in a relatively quiet household. Loud and unexpected noises still tend to startle her, esp. after living the first few months of her life in the scary outdoors.

As Jewell's fur is on the long side, it is recommended to have a daily brushing routine not only for good grooming but to maintain a bonding ritual with her. Jewell is FIV/FELK negative, litter box trained, spayed, micro-chipped, current on vaccines and ready for adoption.

History

Jewell and her Mom were rescued from an elderly woman's yard in Durham, where they didn't have adequate food or shelter. When she was rescued, she was so thin you could feel her spine, and her feet were covered with mud. After coming indoors to regular meals, staying warm and dry, and enjoying a soft hammock and blankets to sleep on, Jewell is very happy that she was rescued!
