All About Me

Tia is a petite, black DSH tortoiseshell Siamese mix, with ginger markings combed throughout her coat, paws, chest and under her left eye. She has a solid bushy tail and bright yellow eyes.

Tia is a sweet young cat, quiet and unassuming, now enjoying the life of an indoor kitty. She likes to sit close, rubbing her face up against your hand while getting brushed or laying close for a nap, relaxing with yoga stretches and delicious yawns. Tia is light on her feet and greets you with her little dancing prance and quiet chirp.

She likes to hang out at the foot of the bed, on her favorite chair or under a sunny window. Tia loves to play, esp. with the laser light or the interactive mouse & byrd wand toys. Tia has tested negative for FIV/FElK negative, is micro-chipped, current on vaccines and litter box trained. She is ready for adoption.

History

Tia was found as a stray in a residential Durham neighborhood when the temps were at an all time low in the winter of 2014. She was bone thin, tired and hungry when she 1st came to IAR.

She surprised us after a week in foster care when she vomited up 20"-24" of red latex tubing, probably one of her last attempts to find a food source while living outside. Tia is happy to be inside in foster care where she is safe, warm, well fed, gaining weight and improving her overall health. She thanks us every day for taking care of her!
