All About Me

Barry is a growing into quite the handsome man with his round face and deep orange color.

Barry Allen (named after the comic book character, The Flash) started off being found on the side of the road as a kitten of just a few weeks. He was in very rough shape and, at first, it wasn't certain he would grow up to be a healthy boy. However, with just a few weeks of time and TLC, he quickly earned his name by demonstrating just how fast he could move!
Barry is incredibly outgoing and affectionate. He adores his foster family, will cry when he can't locate his people, and races to whoever calls out his name. He fills up with purrs and eagerly nuzzles faces whenever he is picked up. He loves to play and tries to rough house with the resident adult cats, but they aren't too keen to join in on his games. He'd love his forever home to include another young adult cat that could keep him busy and correct him if play gets too rough! His favorite toy is a foam golf ball, which he throws in the air and carries around in his mouth. He barely takes note of the big dogs in the household and is overall well behaved.
Barry is a tolerant boy who allows his foster mom to do anything she needs to, however he's still a youngster, so his patience can be short. He is used to taking medicine and swallows pills like a champ!
Barry has an eye that didn't quite develop correctly and it seems just slightly smaller than the other. However, it still seems he can see just fine out of it and only has a little discharge from time to time. Due to the respiratory infection he had as a baby, he has some residual, chronic congestion. He may occasionally have some sneezing and his episodes may be triggered with stress. However, it seems difficult to stress this guy out! Barry would love to find his forever home with snuggly people and maybe another kitty to keep him company!

History

Barry was found along the side of the road somewhere between Greenville and Durham. He was picked up by good Samaritan and found himself at a local high school when a resource officer brought him to work. He was emaciated and suffering from both an eye and upper respiratory infection. His foster mom heard about him through the grapevine and immediately came to his aid.
