All About Me

Buddy is a large cat! He weighs around 14 pounds and has great big feet. He is grey and white. He is adorned with adorable grey smudges, including one on his hand which we refer to as his "king ring."

Buddy is incredibly sweet and friendly. He greets you at the door when you come home and loves to rub up against your leg. He comes when called, and will get on the couch next to you or curl up in your lap. Buddy will sleep next to you on the bed at night and might even come over for a head bump or to give kisses! He really enjoys keeping watch over the birds outside the window. When company comes over, Buddy will come meet them. He likes kicking catnip toys (see his video!) until he is worn out and then is content to lounge in the middle of the room and survey his domain.Buddy has been FIV positive since 2014 and is quite healthy. Cats with FIV can live long, healthy lives, and studies have shown that they can live with other cats without risk of passing on the virus: Vet Study OKs FIV+ and FIV- Cats Living Together. Buddy is a delightful cat, and he would love to find his new forever home!

History

Buddy lived outside a rehabilitation facility and was befriended by someone staying there while she recovered from a broken hip. She adopted him and they lived happily together for several years until she passed away. Her family contacted IAR for help, and Buddy was brought into foster care.
