When you meet Bailey, you'll be greeted by a happy, energetic, fun loving and loyal 18-month old pup who wants nothing more than to make you happy! You'd never know how sad he was when his previous owner died. Poor Bailey was found by a Good Samaritan, thin, very scared and with little hope. Nope, you'd never know by meeting him now. Bailey will be the first to invite you for a run, a jog or even a power walk. Heck, he’d even settle for a long car ride, as long as he's with you! He just loves everyone!
What Bailey also can't tell you is that his leg hurts — a lot. Bailey has a kneecap that continues to pop out of place, and although he continues to run and jump, his high activity is beginning to take a toll, as his left leg sometimes becomes stiff and at times his gait turns into more of a skip than a walk or run. According to veterinarians, this type of problem tends to get worse and could eventually lead to lameness. Sadly, that's what will likely happen to Bailey without our help. However, our friends at Veterinary Surgical Referral Practice have generously offered to fix Bailey's knee at a reduced cost. The total cost of Bailey's surgery will be $1500, and his recovery is expected to be in full. With surgery, Bailey can be 100% again!
Please consider helping Bailey get back the youthful knee that he needs to once again be a fun-loving and energetic puppy —- without pain and discomfort. Bailey hasn't had the best of hands dealt to him so far, so let's make sure that his next hand (or knee!) is a good one!
Thank you for your tax-deductible donation, and remember no amount is ever too small.
