If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, please complete our online adoption interest form and one of our volunteers will contact you shortly.

Because we are a private, non-profit organization, Independent Animal Rescue is always looking for donors and new ways to raise money! Some ways we raise money are:

• Private donations (click here to donate on-line!)
  
• Our annual "Couch Potato" fund-raiser (Do nothing, get a T-shirt!)
• Holiday cards in honor of a loved one

About Independent Animal Rescue
Independent Animal Rescue is a non-profit group in the Triangle region of North Carolina that works to provide homes for hundreds of unwanted cats and dogs each year. IAR is run primarily by committed individuals from the community who volunteer their time to help homeless animals and to keep our support programs functioning. Our volunteer opportunities include:

• Foster parenting
  
• Helping at Homes Forever, Homes for Everyone Adoption Fairs
  
• Writing for or helping with mailing our newsletter
  
• Interviewing potential adopters
  
• Pet-sitting
